No. 269 - 22 July

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a brilliant final week! With the music of the Year 6 disco still ringing in my ears, as well as the sound of the singing from today’s church service and the final Year 2 assembly, it feels like we’ve celebrated and marked the end of this academic year really well. I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have. Celebration Afternoon was a fantastic occasion with so many families in school; it was wonderful to be able to talk to so many parents about all that this year has meant for their children. They are such a delight to work with and we are so thrilled to see them flourish. Thank you for your constant and committed support as we work together to “learn to live”.

Thank you also for your kindness, words of encouragement, gifts, cards and appreciation – both to me and to the whole staff. We are so grateful.

As a staff, we are excited to see the children in Year 6 leave us and “embrace their future with hope and confidence” – they are poised for a brilliant transition to secondary school. We also want to give our very best wishes to several other families that are moving away. Please do keep in touch with us and come back and visit!

For everyone else, I hope you received the letter that I sent out earlier this week by ParentMail. This contained lots of important information about next year; I’ll send it again just before the start of term so that everyone’s ready for another great year at HTPD! Until then, have a peaceful and happy summer holiday.

With love,

Hello Everyone!

Thank you!!

As I write my last newsletter entry as Chair on the last day of a very busy term, the HTSC committee would like to thank everyone for their help and support over the last year. There will be an AGM at the beginning of next term where (hopefully) a new team will take over. In the meantime, if you have any questions you can continue to email If I could ask you to take some time over the summer to consider being a part of the committee as Treasurer, a Co-chair or Class Rep for your class, especially those moving into Year 6 where there will be a need for both class reps and a fundraising team for the Yearbook (not that you want to think about them leaving quite yet!). I will be at the bottom of the steps this afternoon trying to hold back the tears as my second son leaves Holy Trinity to move on to George Abbot, also knowing that I will be doing the same next year with our youngest. We will have a lot of families at school this afternoon for which this will be their last day at Holy Trinity – wishing you all the best for the future.

You can keep supporting the school over the summer - if you are shopping online, one way to support the school is through and selecting HTSC Holy Trinity School Community as your cause. Over 4000 retailers are affiliated, and every purchase makes a difference.
