JTLYK 7 March
Dear parents and carers,
It has been such an exciting week this week as, with the exception of phonics, we have been completely off our normal curriculum! It has been our fairy-tale STEM week so we have been engaging in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths activities!
The week began with an amazing author visit by Catherine Cawthorne, this was very interactive and focused on science. We spent time later in the week carrying out some of the experiments outlined in her fantastic book The Big Bad Wolf Investigates Fairy Tales!
We have also done some fun maths, learning to measure the giant's feet left behind in the school site as he chased Jack down the Beanstalk. In DT we have built bridges for the goats to cross from the Billy Goats Gruff, and in computing we learnt about algorithms and created our own for building a tower from Lego.
