JTLYK 28 February
Dear parents and carers,
We have had a great start to the second half of Spring term! It was lovely to see everyone after half term, we hope you had a great break.
A highlight of this week was our animal farm visit, it was amazing to see nearly all of the animal types we had learnt about last half term. The children had so much fun interacting with the animals.
Our topic for this half-term is Dragons and so our main story is When the Dragons Came. We have loved reading the story many times this week and have done some great descriptive writing about the characters and settings in it using adjectives.
Next week will look a little different as it is STEM curriculum week, we will be spending our lesson time doing fairy-tale-themed computing, DT, science, and maths. It is going to be really fun week and we have lots of fun activities planned! It is also World Book Day next week so we will spend time looking at new books, in fact we have an exciting author visit on Monday 3rd March. Geraldine our librarian will have sent you a ParentMail with details about the chance to buy a book following this event.
For our DT next week we need lots of junk modelling, if you have any small and clean recycling boxes, tubes etc. from the weekend it would be amazing if you could send it in with your child ready for our DT project on Thursday. Thank you!
