Before/After School Care

At Holy Trinity Pewley Down, we provide high quality, flexible before and after school care, from 8.00am to 8.30am and 3.00/3.15pm to 6.00pm.

We offer a range of free after-school clubs run by teachers and school staff, as well as paid for clubs run by external providers. Breakfast Club, PUPS and Clubs+ offer extended-hours care but are not subsidised, therefore there is a charge for these sessions.

Sam Andrews is our Extended Hours Manager and can be contacted via email.

Breakfast Club - Infant and Junior Sites

Breakfast Club runs in two sessions:

After School Care - Infant Site - PUPS

Monday to Thursday – Booking required

We know that the majority of parents need regular after school childcare and as such we require you to book sessions as an ongoing arrangement.

We recommend booking your child into after school care as soon as possible as spaces are limited. We advise that you do this when your child has been offered a place at HTPD school.

PUPS runs in two sessions:

  • 3:00pm - 4:30pm // £7
  • 4:30pm - 6:00pm // £8 // Includes a healthy snack
  • Full Session 3.00pm – 6.00pm // £15

If your child will not be attending their regular PUPS session, email Sam Andrews as soon as possible. If Sam is not informed by the evening before the booked session, you will be charged for a full session.

You will not be charged if:

  • your child has become poorly during the day
  • your child is absent due to illness
  • your child is attending a school trip/residential

If your child would like to attend a teacher-led or external club and they are booked into PUPs, please be aware that you will still be charged for the first session; this is to ensure that there is a space at PUPS for your child when they finish their club at 4pm.

Billing is done daily and you will be charged based on the time your child is signed out. All billing is processed through ParentPay.

FAQ

Will we still need to provide snacks?

No, we will be providing food and it will be served just after 4:30pm. If your child is booked into a club, we will make sure we hold some snack back for them, for when they return. Please do not provide any food for your child at Clubs+ unless discussed with Sam.

Why are you no longer running Fridays?

From previous years, we have started to notice a decrease in numbers on a Friday. Due to the pandemic, many parents are now working from home or have reduced their hours which has made the situation worse for us. We simply do not cover our costs, from staffing to catering, etc. We will review the situation again for 2022 - 2023. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. (Breakfast Club will still run on Friday mornings.)

Do you still charge a late fee?

Yes, you will be charged £15 for every 15 minutes you are late for each child. Do let the school office know asap if you are running late. If you know you are running late, please try to arrange for someone else to collect your child.

Where will you be based?

At Pewley, we are based in the hall and back playgrounds. At Holy Trinity, we are usually outside or in the school chapel. At HT, we now have a new system, if you go to the school office, they will contact Clubs+ via walkie-talkie. Your child will meet you at the office with all their belongings.

Do you have any Covid measures in place?

Unfortunately, the virus has not left us yet... so, we will continue to ensure that we maintain good hygiene and regularly wash hands and cleaning surfaces more frequently and ensuring as much social distancing as possible. We will try and be outside as much as possible.
