YR JTLYK 4 April
Dear Parents,
We have had a lovely week thinking about Easter and what that means for Christians. We also enjoyed the Pause Day activities that we took part in on Tuesday which helped us to pause and slow down as we reflected on the Easter story.
Thank you to the parents who helped us walk to and from the Church on Thursday. It was fantastic to be able to celebrate Easter as a whole school. We also had a Bunny Hop today which was great fun for the children. If you would like to sponsor your child for their laps today, please follow this link for sponsorship payments. Thank you!
Phonics
Please continue to practise all the phonemes and ‘Tricky words’. If you need another list of the words that we have learned, please let us know. We will be teaching new ‘tricky words’ when we get back to school.
Dates for your diary

Stay and Play
On Friday 16 May it’s ‘Stay and Play’. Parents are invited to come and play in Reception with their child from 2pm. If you can’t make it yourself feel free to invite grandparents/other relatives instead. We look forward to seeing you.
Things we need
As the weather starts getting warmer, we are going to be setting up a planting station outside. As you buy compost for your gardens, please consider donating a bag (or more!) of peat-free compost to Reception. Thank you so much!
We really hope that you have a fantastic Easter holiday. We’ll see you all back in school on Wednesday 23 April for the start of the Summer term.
Best wishes,
The Reception team.
