Y3 JTLYK 28 March

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a fantastic week we’ve had in Year 3!

In Maths, the children have begun exploring their new unit on mass and capacity. They’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of scales measuring mass in grams. We encourage you to try out some related questions with your child!

In English, the children have been immersing themselves in the story Escape from Pompeii. They have specifically focused on incorporating adverbs and fronted adverbials into their writing. Additionally, the children have learnt how to use a thesaurus to enhance their vocabulary as they prepare to write their own escape stories in the final week of term.

In Geography, we’ve started building our volcano models using the recycled materials you generously donated. The children had a great time shaping their volcanoes with papier-mâché, and they were excited to see their creations come to life!

Best wishes,
The Year 3 Team
