Imperial College London Science Competition

Clare and Kayleigh accompanied a team of four girls from Year 5 to Imperial, who were absolutely brilliant!

They presented their idea for an invention that clears the ocean of micro-plastics; they'd been selected as finalists in an international competition to find scientific solutions to climate change concerns. A day out at Imperial was a brilliant opportunity for them!

They presented their innovative ideas with amazing clarity, maturity and charisma. The judges praised them for their excellent presentation skills, for their unique invention - and for how they were inspired by the world of nature to solve a global problem, using the whale shark as inspiration for apparatus that filters micro-plastics from the seas! It was an amazing day!
