Curriculum

International

At HTPD, we are passionate about children being given the tools and experiences to flourish and develop into global citizens, understanding similarities and differences and being excited about the world in which they live. We provide a rich and outward-looking curriculum with plenty of opportunities for children to learn about and understand their world.

We have always valued the international partnerships that HTPD have developed over a number of years from our participation in British Council funded programs such as eTwinning, Comenius and Erasmus +. Although our departure from the EU means we are no longer allowed to access Erasmus + funding to develop our own projects, we have continued working with our partner schools in Europe as ‘guests’ in eTwinning projects. We have particularly close partnerships with two schools in Spain, one in Tres Cantos, Madrid and another in Aguilar de Campoo, Palencia.

These partnerships have given children an international dimension to their learning as they cooperate and collaborate with different European classrooms.

We were awarded the eTwinning School Label for the second time in 20-21 and have received re-accreditation for the International School Award 2021–2024.

Both these awards recognise our commitment to international partnerships and our desire for children and teachers to participate and collaborate with schools across the world.
