We are incredibly proud of our well-stocked libraries and our excellent librarian, Geraldine Tame, who works hard to make sure that we have a wide and diverse range of books available at both sites. She takes care to match these to the children’s interests, to challenge them, and to keep us all up to date with the latest children’s literature. She often recommends titles to children, staff and parents. The children are given weekly opportunities to take books out from the library and they are encouraged to change their books regularly. Our loan rate is phenomenal. She also runs book groups and plenty of extracurricular clubs including chess, creative writing, Lego and science; all of these expand our horizons and remind us that the library is at the heart of the school, both literally and metaphorically!
