5 September 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back — and a very warm welcome to all our new families joining the school community!
I hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer break, and that you were able to spend some quality time outdoors with your children.
We’ve had a fantastic start to the term. It was such a joy to see the children’s smiling faces as they returned, and the cheer that greeted the teachers in the playground on Thursday was a real highlight—it reminded us just how special our school community is.
We’re looking forward to seeing many of you at our Meet the Team evenings next week:
-
Infants: Tuesday 9th September at 7:00 PM
-
Juniors: Thursday 11th September at 7:00 PM
These evenings are a great opportunity to hear from myself and the leadership team, meet your child’s year group teachers, and learn more about what’s ahead this year.
Just a reminder that teacher-led clubs start next week at the infants and Monday 15th September at the Juniors.
Wishing you a lovely weekend—we’re excited for our first full week back on Monday!
Best wishes,
Vicky

HTPD Fun Run - Two weeks to go!
Our end of year summer event got rained off, but it's back and now only two weeks away! Join us at Stoke Park on Sunday 21st September at 1-4pm for the HTPD Fun Run & activities at the park!
Get your tickets & more details here.
If you previously booked a ticket for the cancelled June event, you don’t need to do anything except turn up on the day - your entry will transfer. Any Y2 or Y6 leavers are still very welcome to join too.
Can you help?
If you're available to volunteer, we would be SO grateful, as it can't go ahead without you. Please sign up here for just a short time slot. And if you have a generator we can borrow for the PA system, please let us know.
Join the PTA!
If you're interested in being more involved this year, we're looking for new PTA members for HTPD. It's fun and really rewarding to be a part of the school community, helping to raise essential funds - last year the support helped to get The Wild Place back up & running, covered an xmas panto for the kids, and purchased new furniture, books and arts equipment.
So, let us know if you'd like to chat about what the roles are and how things will be more streamlined this year to make it even easier and your time well spent. Contact: HTSC@htpd.surrey.sch.uk or FOPS@htpd.surrey.sch.uk
