Y6 JTLYK 16 May

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve been so impressed with the calm focus and determination the children have shown during SATs this week. Their mature attitude and the dedication they’ve shown in the lead-up to the tests have made us all incredibly proud.

A big thank you to you as well for the support, encouragement, and guidance you’ve given your children throughout this time—it really makes a difference.

Don’t forget! Next week is Fluffy Friday. Please ensure you’ve completed and returned any necessary permission forms.

Reminder

  • Please don't forget to complete the Preston Montford medical form.

Best wishes,

Danni, Jo, Kathryn, Julia, Tom and Mark.

History

This week, we continued exploring the cottage industries that many families relied on in the 1750s to earn a little extra money for essentials such as food and clothing. The children have been learning about traditional crafts like straw weaving and rag weaving, and over the next few weeks, they’ll have the chance to try these activities for themselves. It’s been a welcome and enjoyable break from the intense revision they’ve been working so hard on!

Homework

We’re pressing pause on homework for now. Keep an eye out for updates—we’ll resume setting homework tasks after the half-term break.
