Y5 JTLYK 21 March
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had another great week of exploring our Egyptian themed topic work. In English, we have been writing our tension stories based around the fearful notion of entering a scary space in a desert. The children have enjoyed looking at the myths and beliefs of the Ancient Egyptians and we have created beautiful maps showing the importance of the Nile and the surrounding area. In maths, we have been looking at percentages and comparing them to equivalent decimals and fractions. We have started to look at our DT project and discovering how cams work.
We are looking forward to seeing you on Monday 24th at 6:30pm for our Brenscombe information evening. For any parents that are unable to attend, a summary email will be sent out. Also, during the last week of term, we have our Pause Day and Easter church service. We're still in need of around 2 more volunteers for each class to walk to and from the church, so please do let your child’s teacher know if you would like to join us.
Have a great weekend!
