Junior Newsletter 2 March

02 March 2012

Dear Parents,

Parent consultation week always allow us a moment of reflection; to look back at where the children started the year, celebrate where they are now and look forward to their future achievements. It has been great to see so many of you on the Holy Trinity site this week and we look forward to next week at Pewley. For those of you who took up the opportunity to join one of Geraldine's book clinics, we hope you found this useful. I'm sure you'll agree that Geraldine is truly the fount of all knowledge on children’s fiction! She will be running some more sessions on the infant site next week during parent evenings, so please do pop along to pose any questions you may have about choosing the right book for your child.

Finally we wish Richard a speedy recovery over the next two weeks as he recuperates from a planned operation. As ever we will be available to answer any queries you may have during this time.

Best wishes,
Nicola, Helen and Debbie

Our Guildford Groovers did us proud with their wonderful dance at the Ivy Theatre on Tuesday evening.
Well done to everyone involved, their confidence was amazing!

Football
Lots and lots of football this week with two teams playing at Bushy Hill with St. Joseph's and both Years 5 and 6 playing at Queen Eleanor's in the preliminary rounds of the outdoor competition.  Both Years 5 and 6 have made it through to the cup finals so great football all round.
Good luck to the girls who play on Friday.

Congratulations to all of our 41 athletes who took part in the qualifying event for Sportshall Athletics.

Lost:
Claire Healey’s (5H) named, navy school jumper with purple (Mandela) coloured new logo.  Could parents please check to see if it was picked up by mistake?
A purple Microlight Scooter which went astray a long time ago but is still very much missed.
A lady’s silver ring with purple stone – lost on Wednesday, 29th February on the school premises.
Adam Buckley (5R) has lost his school clarinet. It's possible it has been mixed up with others (as there are so many looking the same). If you have a clarinet with 101 as the last 3 digits of the number on the side of the case, can you please bring it to the office?  Thank you.
Mallie Waterfield (5H) has lost her named, navy blue joggers.
